Alexandru Breja has been involved in church life from early childhood. He served as senior pastor of Alexandria and Bucharest Labrinth Church districts, at Bucharest Conference, Romania from 1986 until 1991. Between 1993 and 2009 he served as Seminary professor, Seminary Church pastor, and Seminary Principal at the Romanian SDA Theological Seminary, as well as Contract Faculty at Andrews University. Since 2009 he pastored the N. Stamford and Brooklawn/ Bridgeport Church district in the Southern New England Conference.

 

Pastor Breja is a native of Romania. He received his Bachelor's degree in Pastoral Ministry from the Romanian SDA Theological Seminary in 1985; his MA in Religion from Andrews University in 1993; his Licence in Theology from Babes-Bolyai University in Cluj Napoca, Romania in 1995, and his Ph.D. in Old Testament Exegesis and Theology from Andrews University in 2011.

 

Passionate for God and His people, Pastor Breja is relentlessly pursuing the depths of God’s revelation in Scripture in order to share its life changing truth with people everywhere. Periodically he teaches intensive courses for Andrews University Theological Seminary and advises Master-level students. Currently he is writing youth curriculum for the General Conference Sabbath School Department.

 

Pastor Breja and his wife, Nellie, have been married since 1986. They live in Hamden, CT, and have two adult children, Andrew and Edward.
